Nelson's career began in the late 1990s working with GE's distribution division before moving to GE Capital, where he developed expertise in advanced analytics. This unique combination of distribution operations knowledge and analytical skills provided the foundation for Intuilize's approach.

Before founding Intuilize, Nelson worked with a private firm based in Los Angeles where he utilized analytics to evaluate acquisition targets and improve the performance of distribution businesses. Frustrated by the limitations of existing tools and methodologies, he decided to create a solution that would make powerful analytics accessible to distributors of all sizes.
